ITINERARY
Wednesday, September 3rd
Today we will begin our trip with an overnight flight from Chicago O’Hare Airport to Paris. Dinner will be served on-board the plane. D
Thursday, September 4th
This morning, before our arrival, a breakfast snack will be served on-board the plane. Once we collect our luggage, we will meet our driver and guide and participate in a panoramic tour of the city. Our tour will include driving past the Louvre Museum, the Arch de Triumph, the Eiffel Tower and many recognizable sights. From there we will drive to our first-class hotel where we will check in and stay for the next three nights. A special “welcome dinner” will be served at the hotel, followed immediately by a brief orientation. B, D
Friday, September 5th
Today we will meet our guide once again, who will provide us with a tour of Notre Dame and the Sacre Coeur. We will have the remainder of the afternoon for sightseeing and shopping on our own. We will enjoy a dinner together and the remainder of the evening is free to enjoy on your own. An optional boat ride on the River Seine is available for those who would like to participate. B, D
Saturday, September 6th
This morning we will have a very early breakfast and drive to the town of LISIEUX. The drive will take us approximately 2-3 hours as we drive through the French countryside. Upon our arrival, we will meet a local guide who will take us on a tour describing the life of St. Therese. This will be one of the most memorable days of our trip. We’ll return back to Paris and our hotel later in the evening. B,D
Sunday, September 7th
Today, following breakfast, we will bid adieu to Paris and drive to the town of NEVERS. Here we will check into our hotel and meet our guide for a tour of the town, including the basilica that houses the remains of St. Bernadette. The remainder of the evening is at your leisure. B, D.
Monday, September 8th
This morning, following a very early breakfast, we will leave Nevers and drive to the town of LOURDES. This drive will take approximately 8-9 hours and there will be stops along the way for restroom breaks in addition to stopping midday for lunch. Today is a very special day, because we are celebrating the birthday of our Blessed Mother. Upon our arrival we will check into our hotel and then meet a local tour guide who will take us on an informative tour of the town. Following dinner at our hotel, a very special candlelight procession will take place for all who would like to participate. B, D
Tuesday, September 9th
This morning, following breakfast, we will meet our local guide and take a leisurely walking tour of the Holy grounds of Lourdes. Our tour will include visiting the Immaculate Conception Basilica, the Rosary Basilica and the Grotto. We will also discover more about the Adoration Chapel, the Stations of the Cross, the Holy Grotto and the Holy Bath. There will be time for lunch on our own before meeting again with our guide for a tour of the birthplace of St. Bernadette, the Cachot, and also visit the Church of Sacre Coeur. Dinner will be served back at our hotel and we will have another opportunity to participate in the candlelight procession. B, D
Wednesday, September 10th
The day is free for you to enjoy on your own. Again you have an opportunity to enjoy any of the Holy Shrines and also shop for religious items in any of the gift shops in town. Tonight, we’ll enjoy a special “farewell dinner” at our hotel, which will be followed by prayer and fellowship as we bring our trip to a close. B, D
Thursday, September 11th
This morning, following an early breakfast, we will pack our luggage and drive to the airport where we will check-in for our flight back to Chicago.
